Senior Buyer (Full-Time) – Tralee Showroom & National Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Buyer/Purchaser to join our growing team based at our Tralee showroom headquarters. This is a full-time, permanent role with a national remit, responsible for managing procurement across the bathroom and tile industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management at a senior level, with an in-depth knowledge of bathroom products and industry trends.

Senior Buyer – Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Source and select suppliers for bathroom products, tiles, and related materials across Ireland and Europe.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and secure competitive advantages.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to balance product availability with minimising excess stock.
- Identify and track new market trends, innovations, and eco-friendly solutions within the bathroom and tile sector.
- Evaluate supplier performance, product quality, and service levels on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with showroom, sales, installation, and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan procurement.
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage procurement systems, purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Participate in supplier audits, product selection for showroom displays, and supplier relationship management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for procurement activities.
- Resolve supply chain issues promptly to avoid customer impact or project delays.
- Attend national and international trade shows, product seminars, and supplier site visits.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role, preferably at a senior level.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement or inventory management software.
- Strong understanding of bathroom products, fixtures, tiles, and industry trends.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong commercial awareness with a customer-first mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (2:1 or higher).
Desirable:
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification or equivalent.
- Established supplier network within Ireland and Europe.
- Experience in bathrooms, tiles, home improvement, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable product sourcing.
- Understanding of the Irish construction and home improvement market.
- Knowledge of showroom or retail operations.
- Additional European languages (beneficial for dealing with international suppliers).
- Project-based procurement experience.

Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
- Flexibility required for attending trade shows, supplier meetings, and occasional weekend travel.
